The Australasian College of Dermatologists (ACD) is the peak body for dermatology training and professional standards in Australia, dedicated to advancing the study and practice of skin health. To support its mission of delivering high-quality medical education and certification, ACD partnered with Lingel Learning to enhance and maintain its learning management infrastructure.
Lingel Learning provided Moodle hosting for both production and staging environments, supported by a comprehensive backup strategy to ensure data integrity and business continuity. The project also involved significant custom plugin development and integration work, including rewriting the Zoho Services plugin to align with modern coding and security standards during system upgrades.
Further enhancements included updating the existing plugin to send user progress data, even for those with inactive enrolments, and developing a new API method to enable automatic unenrolment of users from courses directly through Zoho CRM, ensuring smooth synchronisation between systems.
The collaboration resulted in a secure, stable, and integrated LMS environment that enhanced ACD’s operational efficiency and data management. With improved reliability, compliance, and system connectivity, the College is now better equipped to deliver seamless dermatology training and maintain its reputation for educational excellence across Australia.
